Tyer – Sean Dahlquist

My name is Sean Dahlquist. I live on Washinton State’s Olympic Penninsula with my wife and our two beautiful children.

My first introduction to fly tying was by watching my father tie colorful steelhead flies in the early 90s when I was a child. I started fly fishing in my teens with my best friend Nick Riggs and I began tying to fill my fly boxes. Eventually I became interested in Syd Glasso’s beautiful steelhead spey flies which in turn opened the door to learning about and falling in love with salmon flies. I joined the North West Atlantic Salmon Fly Guild and was able to tie at both of the Atlantic Salmon Fly International shows, which I consider to be highlights of my life.
